Our advocacy services include direct representation in meetings with policymakers, school officials, and service providers; community organizing to mobilize voices for change; and public education campaigns that raise awareness about critical social issues such as sex trafficking, gun violence, and mental health disparities.

We engage in legislative advocacy to push for policy reforms that address the root causes of inequality, while offering hands-on crisis response to those in immediate need. EMPACT provides specialized advocacy and support for students and families navigating the education system, with a focus on youth facing challenges related to disabilities, trauma, and exploitation. Our IEP and School Support Services help families understand their educational rights, prepare for and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and ensure that schools implement appropriate accommodations, interventions, and services.

We work alongside parents, educators, and school districts to address barriers that impact student learning and well-being, including truancy, behavioral concerns, and the academic challenges. We coordinate with school staff to develop safety plans, provide trauma-informed resources, and support re-engagement in education.

Our goal is to protect students’ rights, strengthen the family-school relationship, and ensure that every child has access to a safe, supportive, and equitable learning environment. By combining advocacy, case management, and education, EMPACT empowers families to actively participate in their child’s education and helps schools better serve vulnerable youth.

Through our Project TAKE initiative, we provide rapid response, advocacy, and support for families of missing children and adults, with a focus on vulnerable and high-risk populations, including individuals with disabilities and youth at risk of sex trafficking and exploitation. Our team assists families in filing reports, navigating law enforcement processes, and ensuring cases receive the urgency and attention they deserve.

We coordinate community search efforts, distribute flyers, leverage media outreach, and conduct street-level canvassing to locate missing persons. EMPACT also connects families to trauma-informed counseling, victim services, and relocation assistance when safety is a concern.

Our approach bridges the gaps between families, law enforcement, and community partners, ensuring that no case is overlooked due to bias or lack of resources. We advocate for equity in missing persons investigations, especially for cases involving marginalized or underserved communities.

EMPACT provides compassionate, knowledgeable court support to victims, survivors, and impacted families. We accompany clients to hearings, trials, and legal proceedings, offering emotional support, advocacy, and guidance to ensure they understand their rights and the process. Our team works alongside attorneys, victim advocates, and service providers to help clients prepare for court, submit victim impact statements, and access protective measures when needed.
